Hello everybody! It'sa me, Crimrose, back for yet another update! As most of you know, chapter XIV has been published online recently, and it's already gotten quite a few views :) So thanks for that. In light of this, I've been trying not to get distracted and work on chapter XV, in which Valerie and Christian continue their trek to the Guardian's shrine and run into more trouble... and weird things start happening with Valerie and her body, all after a strange dream. I suggest that you don't forget that, as it is very important to the story :)
*Sigh* It's time to vent. The other day in art class, we began learning about art history, starting at the cave man area (the name escapes me, sorry for being unprofessional). Their cave drawings inspired me for a certain scene in book two of Rune Knight, Blazing Soul. So keep a look-out for that ;)
Anyhow. For those of you who read my previous post, remember that guy I proclaimed as my rival? Yeah, you could say he's the class clown. And my art teacher thought it would be the best idea ever to let us run around outside to gather sticks and stuff like that to create our own paintbrushes, like the Neanderthals. You can imagine how that went, letting a bunch of teenage kids run around with sticks on a nice day ヘ(;´Д`ヘ) She isn't the brightest Crayola in the pack.
When we got back inside with our homemade paintbrushes, we were given this long strip of paper, kind of like a banner, and our teacher proclaimed that it was our cave, and we were to mimic the style of cavemen and paint on the walls with earthy colours. My rival made a diagram of one caveman betting another to take on a bear with his bare hands, then the diagram showed them at his grave later on (he could've just drawn a pretty bird and tree like me, but noooooo). Then another girl I'm friends with in my group paints her entire hand and slaps it on the paper. We all started a chorus of "AWWWWWWWWWW" and since I was Momma Caveman, I said, "You are BANISHED!" And my rival said, "See, THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE CAVES!"
Later on that same girl drew a picture of a stick figure being crushed by a boulder. My friend and I proclaimed that it was her brother and my son, Ugh's, memorial.
So you can see that we are an imaginative bunch. Just keep waiting until the next update if you want to hear more about my misadventures, and learn more about Rune Knight!
Excelsior!
