I Do What I Want!

Hey everybody, it's time for a Crimrose Update! *Catchy news music plays* Nah, just kidding. But anyway, Shining Armour has been updated on both Fictionpress and Noveljoy, and I consider this a huge accomplishment because I got that sucker done in like a week. Also, I feel the need to address that while I am posting it to these sites, I am writing this book on a Word program on my laptop. If we take into account the font size, spaces between new chapters, fancy little logos I use for breaks in time... we come to a total of 271 pages. My goal was originally 300 at the most, but it's quite evident that I'm going to exceed that. BOOYAH! So, just for clarification, book one is going to be reaching its end soon, sadly. But not to fear! Like I already mentioned (I think) this is a series, which means there is going to be a second for sure. Ugh, and I can't wait to write the second one. Things get a lot more interesting.

To sum things up without much of a spoiler, this chapter is pretty much Val and Christian tripping balls because of the pixie dust and getting into a bunch of whacked situations. And then, they finally reach the Guardian's shrine, but a trial awaits them before they can meet them.

BY THE WAY. This chapter is titled "The Goddess Of Bronze" and throughout the chapter, Christian comments on how he can smell metal, and then they eventually find pieces of bronze littered about, then there are bronze statues of the Guardian at their shrine. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW WHO THE GUARDIAN IS, READ NO FURTHER.  Anywho, if you already know that the Guardian is the goddess Cel, you might want to know where the bronze comes in. So here's a few idle facts about her: Cel is the Etruscan goddess of earth, who is also known as 'Cel Ati', which means mother earth. On the western shores of lake Perugia, there is a bronze statue of her erected there. So I simply made a connection with our world and Wonderland by placing bronze statues of her around the shrine.

On a completely different note, since this is my blog and I do what I want, here's the clothes I designed for the Venus De Milo in art class:

Why? BECAUSE I CAN.

Also. I cut my finger on a broken glass while doing dishes (and I curse whoever thought it was a good idea to put a broken glass in the sink). It hurts like a mother, and tastes like pennies. Why do I know what pennies taste like, you may ask? BECAUSE I WAS A STUPID KID, THAT'S WHY.

Oh oh oh, and, this upcoming Saturday I'm going to an anime convention they hold in Toronto, Anime North. I'm going to feel like such a nerd since I'm dressing up as Hatsune Miku in her and Kaito's Cantarella video, but hey, I'll have a friend with me so we can be embarrassed together. But I'm going to be hot in my costume that I have to wear a hoop skirt for. Yeah. A hoop skirt. I pity the women who had to wear actual dresses like that way back when.

That's pretty much all I have for an update and OHMIGOD there's a really loud wind blowing against my house while I'm writing this and I'm scared because I hate thunderstorms o(╥﹏╥)o

Excelsior!
